Chapter 1: The Arrival
Lately i've heard that several strips are offering syndication. I'm not really sure I agree with this. While I'm all in favor of artists finding new outlets for their art, I'm disturbed that they chose to go that route. Don't they realize how dangerous it is to flirt with organized crime like that?Oh, sure, they may get additional folks in their audience, but are those really the sorts of 'hits' they want? What happens when the artist refuses to do a strip about how there should be a day commemorating Joey Bananas and they wake up with Garfield's head in their bed.
ok, bad example, since I think the artist would probably be very happy about that, but you get my point. Please, if you're an artist, a writer, or simply a fan, I urge you to let those responsible for your daily bit of mirth to avoid joining the Syndicate!
