I just found a great review at Slumbering Lungfish.

I've discovered a new Web comic that's so great I only found out about it because the author mentioned it on a discussion board. It's like there's some sort of conspiratorial silence about the greatness of this comic that nobody's allowed to mention it or link to it.

Most Web comics artists are in it for the obvious reasons: you make a lot of money, everyone takes you seriously as an artist, and world leaders look to you as a zeitgeist to understand their citzenry. This guy, however, is clearly in it for the art itself, and more importantly the process. The entries that accompany each strip provide such touching insight into the mind of an artist as to make you weep and/or donate.

Truly, Lore is a man of genius. Feel free to cower in his mighty shadow.
