I've discovered that the most difficult thing when doing a web comic, is balancing the rigors of art and story. Sure, I could take short cuts, but that would be cheating, and frankly I don't like it. Granted working on the details of the art can be demanding, and with a storyline like this, things often can get lost.

Worse thing is that I know I keep slipping between comedy and drama, which makes the strip very hard to classify. I know I could simply throw in to one or the other, but that doesn't really tell the story I want to tell.

Likewise I know I could take shortcuts in how i draw this, but that too, would take away from the total effect I'm looking for.

How some of these other guys do it, I'll never know...
